 Description (1) For the purposes of section 22, the annual value of any property shall be deemed to be? INCOME TAX SECTION 22 - Income from house property

 Description The annual value of property consisting of any buildings or lands appurtenant thereto of which the assessee is the owner, other than such portions of such property as he may occupy for the purposes of any business or profession carried on by him the profits of which are chargeable to income-tax, shall be chargeable to income-tax under the head "Income from house property".

INCOME TAX SECTION 16 - Deductions from salaries

 Description The income chargeable under the head "Salaries" shall be computed after making the following deductions, namely :? INCOME TAX SECTION 14A - Expenditure incurred in relation to income not includible in total income

 Description (1) For the purposes of computing the total income under this Chapter, no deduction shall be allowed in respect of expenditure incurred by the assessee in relation to income which does not form part of the total income under this Act. (2) The Assessing Officer shall determine the amount of expenditure incurred in relation to such income which does not form part of the total income under this Act in accordance with such method as may be prescribed17, if the Assessing Officer, having regard to the accounts of the assessee, is not satisfied with the correctness of the claim of the assessee in respect of such expenditure in relation to income which does not form part of the total income under this Act. (3) The provisions of sub-section (2) shall also apply in relation to a case where an assessee claims that no expenditure has been incurred by him in relation to income which does not form part of the total income under this Act : Provided that nothing contained in this section

INCOME TAX SECTION 10AA - Special provisions in respect of newly established Units in Special Economic Zones

 Description (1) Subject to the provisions of this section, in computing the total income of an assessee, being an entrepreneur as referred to in clause (j) of section 2 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, from his Unit, who begins to manufacture or produce articles or things or provide any services during the previous year relevant to any assessment year commencing on or after the 1st day of 90[April, 2006, but before the first day of April, 2021, the following deduction shall be allowed]- (i) hundred per cent of profits and gains derived from the export, of such articles or things or from services for a period of five consecutive assessment years beginning with the assessment year relevant to the previous year in which the Unit begins to manufacture or produce such articles or things or provide services, as the case may be, and fifty per cent of such profits and gains for further five assessment years and thereafter; (ii) for the next five consecutive assessment years, so much o

INCOME TAX SECTION 10 - Incomes not included in total income

 Description In computing the total income of a previous year of any person, any income falling within any of the following clauses shall not be included- (1) agricultural income ; (2) subject to the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 64, any sum received by an individual as a member of a Hindu undivided family, where such sum has been paid out of the income of the family, or, in the case of any impartible estate, where such sum has been paid out of the income of the estate belonging to the family ; (2A) in the case of a person being a partner of a firm which is separately assessed as such, his share in the total income of the firm. Explanation.-For the purposes of this clause, the share of a partner in the total income of a firm separately assessed as such shall, notwithstanding anything contained in any other law, be an amount which bears to the total income of the firm the same proportion as the amount of his share in the profits of the firm in accordance with the partnership
