Artificial intelligence's recent boom has resulted in a large flood of research and development in a variety of domains, including law. The phrase Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one that most people are familiar with. From a control unit that receives and processes data to a processing component that makes decisions based on the data received, an AI system is made up of various components.

Although the concept of a human-like AI is still in its birth, the technology that underpins it is quickly progressing. AI has the potential to forever revolutionise the way we work and live in the near future. Based on recent trends in the association of AI and law, we'll cover some of the ways Artificial Intelligence could effect the law in this article. This essay will present a high-level review of artificial intelligence and its legal implications, with the goal of being sophisticated but accessible to individuals without technical skills.

Here, artificial intelligence (AI) is used to provide these persons with access to an online system where their legal questions can be presented, addressed, and resolved.

The world's legal systems, including the Indian legal system, are dynamic and ever-changing. This means that newer topics of importance to the legal and justice systems are dealt with on a daily basis. Because most of us in the legal field are already familiar with the term Judicial Precedent, which refers to a decided judgement that can be used to decide on future legal issues of the same nature, AI has enabled legal practitioners to quickly obtain these precedents with a single click of the mouse, thanks to AI-assisted search engines.

Due-diligence is another time-consuming and lengthy process that has been made easier by the introduction of AI-powered search engines. In this process, an AI-assisted platform can assist them in speeding up and saving time. Artificial Intelligence will have a significant impact on legal firms' due diligence processes, as it will assist them in verifying facts, presenting figures, and resolving previous instances. Owing diligence is a time-consuming process for humans, and AI will help enhance the correctness of the process due to its robotic nature.

Is AI going to take the place of lawyers?

This question has a simple answer: No. This is due to the fact that when it comes to the Indian judicial system, AI is still in its infancy. Sure, artificial intelligence has simplified a variety of jobs in the legal sector, but replacing lawyers with AI would be a reach. Humans still thrive in some sectors of the legal industry. Artificial intelligence will never be able to fully replace human wisdom. It can only be used as a platform for putting wisdom into practise.
